There was once a time before computers. Before modern day technology buildings were still built, maps were still drawn, and math problems were still solved. Cartographers knew the shape of the earth long before cameras photographed it. With todays technological advancements it's hard to even imagine how this work all started with pen and pencil drawings. This typeface was pulled from the grid work that creates the earths meridian lines. Although the surface area of a sphere is impossible to depict in 2-D, the meridian lines come incredibly close. This typeface was created to imitate the structural precision and sensitivity of a cartographers hand through the global lens.
